I haven't felt well the last week - lost appetite, stomach pains, bloating, diarrhoea, this weird heavy feeling that lasted days, fatigue and feeling weak. I had to lie down all the time. Yeah, it was fun. Weirdly, yesterday I seemed to turn the corner, today I felt fine - just in time for my poison dose...
I suspected it was the tumour growing, but the oncologist pointed out my liver function was "off" necessitating a decrease in dose (to 80%) so maybe it was the chemo affecting me after all. We shall see soon enough.
Chemo was tedious but uneventful. I scored a hot pack today to help with the vein irritation that it causes, so the discomfort while it was going through wasn't so bad this time. Apparently last week it was against OHS rules, this week it was fine, so maybe there's been a change in policy. Who knows. Or cares.

| The view from my hospital recliner. Remind me why I like the city skyline so much? |
I am not going to write a lot today. I learnt a close relative passed away last night, in Bethlehem (hospital) I'm glad I went to see him last week. He was a scream of a dude, I am going to miss his humour and dry observations. I expect the next week or so is going to be quite emotional, on multiple levels. I want to leave it there for now.
